A 27-year-old man from Bangalore has died after getting trapped inside a car, police said on Friday.
The incident took place around 10pm (local time) on Friday when the man was riding his bike in the city’s Mahadevapura area when he was approached by two men who asked him to get out of the car.
The man said he tried to explain to them that he was in a hurry, but the men refused to listen and continued demanding money, the police said in a statement.
He then got stuck in the door of the vehicle, and when he tried pressing the brake to stop it, he was unable to do so.
He managed to reach the ground and tried to push himself out.
The driver called the police and rushed to the spot but the man died there.
The police said they have registered a case under sections 419 (criminal intimidation), 427 (criminal trespass) and 484 (unlawful confinement of a person) of the IPC, and have issued an arrest warrant.
